Spotlight on Student Art

For the first time, we are excited to introduce a special feature on the incredible student art in the school! Whether it is Grade 9s or IB students, we are thrilled to highlight the creativity, dedication, and artistic skill of Visual Art students.

ART I- Visual Arts Grade 9 and 10

The grade 9s and 10s in Art I, are currently working on collage making. They are creatively combining various materials, such as sheet music, coloured paper, and magazine cutouts to create vibrant and unique collages. This work is in preparation for a Van-Gogh-inspired cubist collage that is the next step in their artistic journey.

ART II - Visual Arts Grade 9 and 10

The grade 9s and 10s in Art II have just finished an artwork that drew inspiration from Georgia O'Keeffe’s unique style with pastels. To create this piece, they gathered influence from images of wild animals from National Geographic Magazines, and then worked with chalk pastels to bring these images to life. The detail in these pieces is stunning!

Artworks by: Masan Otmar, August Rajakumar, and Kyra Bhagat (Grade 10)

IB ART- Grades 11 and 12

IB art is no joke. And grade 12 students are feeling the pressure. With around 5 months to go until their artworks will be ready for the IB exhibition, they are working hard to create pieces that truly reflect their individual artistic journeys. IB Art pushes students to create a series of art with deep meaning and personal connection. The fun part; there are no limits! Any technique, any material, any size, any scale, anything and everything! These pieces have been in the making for over a year now and will truly lead to something spectacular.

Artworks in Progress by: Ajay Festen, Sulmaz Kabul, Kaliel Soya, and Diya Tripathi (Grade 12)
